These dolls made from pillowcases my grandmother decorated with hand cutwork. They were part of a bedding set she made for my mother as a wedding gift. The gift was so precious to my mother, she never used them. We all get one of those gifts. Knowing I would appreciate her handwork, she gave the set to me. I couldn't just let them sit in the box on the shelf, thus the pillowcase dolls. Needless to say, the smile on her face and the pride of having a gift made by me and her mother, was worth every minute of my time.
Look at how even and uniform the stitches are in the pictures; alot of love went into this project.
